You greedy &%&$*%(~ !!
The criminals know that there are greedy people everywhere, who want to get something for nothing (the free lunch thingy? heh heh ...). Well, as a reasonably reasonable person, you should be able to differentiate whether it is really a free lunch (as explained in a separate post far below) ... or a scam. The following are scam pointers to look out for:
- they start asking for your bank account details
- they ask you to bank in a small sum ("administration fee") to get a humungous sum
- they ask for your passwords
- they PROMISE you a free trip, etc
- you have not bought any lotteries, but they say you have won milliions
- you have not entered any contests, but they say you have won big
- they start to pressure you, eg. they say this is a time bound "offer"
- the offer is too good to be true
- they usually have bad English spelling
Well, there you go ... don't get scammed ... whether it is by Madoff or Satyam or Nigerians ... hee hee ...
